Worshipful Master

W.: Joseph Maddalena 2026-2027

Worshipful Brother Joseph Maddalena serves as the Worshipful Master of Rising Sun Lodge No. 30 in East Providence, Rhode Island, for 2026-2027. A dedicated Freemason and passionate advocate for Masonic education, tradition, and brotherhood, he is committed to preserving the rich history of the Craft while building a strong and vibrant future for the next generation of Masons.

His Masonic journey extends throughout the York Rite, where he has served as High Priest of Harmony Chapter No. 15 and Thrice Illustrious Master of Doric Council No. 7. He has also served in various educational and leadership positions within the Grand Chapter and Grand Council of Rhode Island.

Beyond the Blue Lodge and Chapter/Council, he is a 32° Scottish Rite Mason, a member of St. John's Commandery No. 1 and Calvary Commandery  No.13, on the Divan of the Rhode Island Shriners and holds membership and offices in several other Masonic Organizations.

As Worshipful Master, Brother Maddalena places particular importance on Masonic education, meaningful fellowship, ritual excellence, and preserving the traditions that have been passed down through generations. His vision for Rising Sun Lodge No. 30 is to honor its history while creating new traditions, strengthening its membership, and ensuring that Freemasonry continues to thrive for generations to come.
